The laptop is a plastic material acceptable total budget for a laptop is built. However, the design is very elegant from the outside a picture with black cloth on it. The plastic is strong enough to withstand a certain pressure and there is barely a noticeable flex when we tried to put to rest, the pressure on some of the most depressed areas of design such as the back of the screen or palm. We are overall very satisfied with the building design, or are satisfied.
With the lid closed, the Lenovo is almost beautiful. A subtle grain contributes to the G550 is a silvery gray plastic look a bit like brushed metal, and drive the curved edges initially no comparison with the square jaw ThinkPad series. Tilt the lid in place, however, and the thick base cloth and design makes the ThinkPad most look positively thin.

The image quality is another weakness of Lenovo. The 15.6in panel has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, which for most other phones here are the same, but while the resulting images appear to the eye poppingly bright, it is not good. Highlights looked crushed and low contrast on the left vivid images is also seeking the sun bleached.

Usability is very good. The keyboard for all proves to be accurate at all times. The large keys have a slightly spongy input measures, but not enough to prevent use. Full keypad on the right bank of the page board, you can quickly and easily give.

The Lenovo G550 works well as a notebook alternative office, handling most tasks with ease. The target market for this notebook includes small businesses, students or home users looking for a basic machine. The G550 has no problems surfing the internet, play movies SD or HD or classic 2D game like Peggle. Compared to the older G530, joined by Lenovo with DDR2 memory for DDR3, which is now faster and cheaper. In theory, this change could mean more power, but we saw no significant change. Both PCMark05 and 3DMark06 decreased while the wPrime experienced a small increase in speed.

Unlike Advent and Toshiba, there is no HDMI port for connecting to an HDTV for more high definition (HD) digital images. Analog connectivity is provided by a VGA output.

All this power comes at a price, however. While the earlier G550 just over four hours succeeded in our battery test this model lasted only three hours and 20 minutes. This is good for use around the elements of home computer technology, but a little short for travel and low in comparison to budget laptops.

Pros

- Feel Very stable
- Excellent Keyboard
- Autonomy improved over G530

Cons

- Slightly more expensive than laptops equipped similarly
- No support for 802.11n wireless
- Fewer ports Model G530
